間違えやすい日本語英語 - 車に関するトリビア

Today, let's learn some Japanese-English vocabulary.
Japanese-English is sometimes called "Katakana-English" or "Japaglish."
When I was driving a car the other day, I came up with this idea for my blog.
So, today let's learn and practice some car-related vocabulary which is easily misused or misunderstood in Japan.
For example...
・gasoline stand = gas station
・side brake = hand brake
・dump car = dump truck
・manual car = stick shift
・back mirror = rearview mirror
・front glass = windshield
・autoby (bike) = motorcycle/motorbike
If you have a chance to drive or ride a car during this winter vacation, please check some of the vocabulary that you've learned today!

本日は“間違えやすい日本語英語 - 車に関するトリビア”についてです。

日本語英語は時に“カタカナ英語”や“ジャパグリッシュ”と呼ばれることもあります。

先日、車を運転していた時にこの“日本語英語”のトピックが頭に浮かんだので、今日は車に関する、間違えやすい日本語英語を取り上げてみたいと思います。

例えば・・・

・ガソリンスタンド ＝ gas station

・サイドブレーキ ＝ hand brake

・ダンプカー = dump truck

・マニュアルカー = stick shift

・バックミラー = rearview mirror

・フロントガラス = windshield

・オートバイ = motorcycle/motorbike

この冬期休暇の間に車に乗る機会があったら、今日学んだ知識を思い出してみましょう！
