道路に関する様々な英語

Today, let’s learn some daily English vocabulary.
Today's vocabulary is related to streets.
When I was in Canada, one thing I found interesting was names of streets.
Each street whether short or long has their own names some of the names were interesting.
Also, I realized there are a lot of types of streets.
So, today let's learn some English vocabulary about streets.

・lane
・way
・expressway
These words might appear in the TOEIC test, so let's learn them now!

おはようございます。English Plus英語講師のarataです。

本日は“道路に関する様々な英語”です。

今日のトピックは“道路”に関する英語です。

自分がカナダにいた時、日本と違って面白いなと感じたことの１つに道路の名前に関してです。

カナダの道路は、１つ１つの道（どんなに短くても、長くても）に名前がついており、中にはユニークな名前の物もありました。

名前が違うのと同時に、道の種類も１種類だけでなく、色々な種類があることにも気づきました。

そこで今日は様々な“道路に関する英語”を学んでいきたいと思います。

例えば…

・street

・avenue

・boulevard

・road

・alley

・drive

・lane

・way

上記の英語は基本的に全て“道路・道”という意味になります。

また補足ですが“高速道路”は…

・expressway

これらの英語はTOEICに出てくることもあるので、少し頭に入れておきましょう！
