Around this time in Japan, we have a custom to write New Year's cards to relatives, friends, co-workers and so on.

・Happy New Year! (Akemashite omedetou gozaimasu.)
・Thank you for all your kind help during the past year. (Sakunen wa taihen osewa ni nirimashita.)
・I hope for your continued favor this year. (Honnen mo douzo yoroshiku onegaiitashimasu.)
・Best wishes for your continued good health and happiness (Minasama no kenko to gotakou wo oinoriitashimasu.)
