Thank you very much for your visit to English Plus blog!
Today, I'd like to announce a monthly English event for kids.
I'm sorry for those who were looking forward to this kids lesson in October.
On November 18th (Sun), we're going to give a 30-minute English lesson for kids in Shibuya!
It's from 11 AM to 11:30 AM and the place is in Maruzen/Junkudo book store's cafe, which is located on the 7th floor of Tokyu department store in Shibuya.
Any kids from about 5 to 10 are welcome to join this event!
The participants can enjoy learning English through a variety of fun games!
No reservation is necessary, so please don't hesitate to join us!

本日は“１１月１８日の渋谷（丸善・ジュンク堂書店）でのキッズ英語イベントのお知らせ”です。

１０月のキッズ対象の３０分の英語レッスンを楽しみにしてくれていた方々、申し訳ございませんでした。

１１月は通常通り、第３週の１１月１８日（日）渋谷の丸善・ジュンク堂書店さんにおいて行います。

時間は１１時～１１時３０分、場所は渋谷の東急百貨店本店７階（渋谷駅より徒歩約５分）の丸善・ジュンク堂書店さんのカフェコーナーの一角となります。

対象は５～１０歳のお子様ですが、年齢が多少前後しても参加可能です！

レッスンの中では、様々なゲームを通して楽しく英語を学んでいきます。

予約は必要ございませんので、ご興味ございましたら１１時に渋谷・東急百貨店本店７階にお越しください！

今日、ご紹介する英語は“人間の成長段階”に関してですが、個人的にこれらの英語は洋服屋さんで見かける機会が多いです。

あまり馴染みがない英語もあるかと思いますが、今日はこの“成長段階”に関しての英語を学んでいきたいと思います。

English Plus英語学校内イベント～1st Anniversaty & Halloween Partyの準備中

Good morning and thank you for your time to visit English Plus blog!
Today, I'd like to share a story about English Plus' event.
We're going to hold the 1st anniversary & Halloween party for our students this month!
The staff members and I are currently preparing for the party.
We've just decorated the inside of English Plus, and also have decided the party schedule and what kind of game to play.
We still have to think about what food&drink to serve and so on, but we'd like to enjoy preparing!
Hopefully, the participants will enjoy the party and communicate in English!

English Plusでは今月、主に生徒の方々を対象とした英語学校内イベント“１周年記念＆ハロウィーンパーティー”を開催します。

パーティーの日が近づきつつあるので最近では、スタッフと一緒にパーティーの準備を色々と進めています。

先日はEnglish Plus内のデコレーションをしましたが、パーティーの内容・スケジュールも徐々に決まってきました。

食べ物やドリンクなど、まだまだパーティーに関して決めなければならないことがありますが、楽しみながらやっていきたいと思います！

参加者の方々には、パーティー＆英語でのコミュニケーションを楽しんでもらいたい！と思っています。

ハロウィーンに向けてEnglish Plusデコレーション中

Today, I'd like to write about decorations we're doing at English Plus.
Halloween is coming soon!
We're going to hold a 1st year anniversary and Halloween party at English Plus, so we're decorating the inside little by little!
Yesterday, we put up some Halloween goods at English Plus Cafe and School.
Because of the decoration, English Plus looks more like Halloween now!
From now on, we're trying to decorate more for Halloween!

昨日は、先週末に購入した、ハロウィーングッズをカフェ・英語学校に飾りつけました。

デコレーションのおかげで、English Plusも少しずつハロウィーンの雰囲気がでてきました！

In our English school's lessons, our students have a chance to talk about a wide variety of topics, such as their daily lives, food and drink, personal habits, favorite pastime, current events, issues, and so on.
When they talk about food and drink, one of the questions I am often asked is how to say some Japanese food and drink.
So, today let's learn some Japanese food and drink.
For instance...
・pickled plum （umeboshi)
・pickles or pickled vegetables （tsukemono)
・plum wine （umeshu)
・red bean paste （anko)
・soybean paste （miso)
・fermented soybeans （natto)

English Plusの英語学校のレッスンの中で、生徒の方々は様々なジャンルのトピックについて話しています。

会話のトピックは多岐に渡り、例えば…日常生活のこと、食べ物や飲み物のこと、個人的な習慣について、お気に入りの余暇の過ごし方、最近のイベントや日本や世界のニュースなど、色々なことについて話しています。

色々なトピックを話しているのですが、生徒の方々が食べ物・飲み物について話している時に、よくされる質問の１つに“日本の食べ物・飲み物をどうやって英語で言えばいいのか？”というものがあります。

そんな今日は、生徒の方々にしばしば聞かれる、日本の食べ物・飲み物を紹介していきたいと思います。

Though we're still thinking about the contents of the party, the participants can enjoy food, drink, games and English communication!
It's the 1st Anniversary and "Halloween" party, so they have to wear costumes!

Novel Prize winners have been announced recently.
A few days ago, I heard that a Japanese physician, Shinya Yamanaka, won Novel Prize!
He was the 19th Japanese Nobel Prize winner and that was great news!
Actually, Mr. Yamanaka won "The Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine."
