暑い日が続いています。梅雨明けは平年では7月21日とのことですので、そろそろ湿った時期も終わるようです。
先週末は選挙があり与党が勝ちました。この国が戦時下であるという雰囲気は動がしがたい事実として日本を覆っています。
先週日本時間で16日の朝方にトルコでクーデターが起こり、未遂に終わりました。春にドイツに行った時に使った航空会社がターキッシュ エアラインズでした。秋紀は行きの飛行機でイスタンブール経由でドイツ テーゲル空港に向かったのですが、そのイスタンブールへ向かう機内で体調を崩してしまい、CAさん数人にお世話になってしまいました。そして経由地のイスタンブール、アタチュルク国際空港でのゲートでちょっと派手な女性が、僕らが日本人であると分かると、自分の知っている「ラーメン、すし、…」などの日本語を笑いながら並べ始めて話してくれたのは、とっても印象がよかった出来事でした。その空港で先月テロがあったこともあり、心を痛めています。
子供の頃に読んだ太平洋戦争について書かれた本には、たいてい戦争に反対している大人が描かれています。そのときは戦争に反対している大人が正しくて、戦争に賛成している人たちは愚かで間違っていると思いました。しかし、現実として今このような現実に身を置くと、やはり戦争に賛成している人の方が正しくて、反対している人はおかしい人なのだということが分かってきました。
戦場という概念がなくなった世界では、兵士という概念もなくなって、ただ日常が時折戦場になるということなのでしょう。
