「病院船」ヒロインのソン・ウンジェ
主人公のソン・ウンジェは大病院（デハン病院）で執刀医として活躍する女性外科医。上司（科長）からも絶対の信頼を得ている天才外科医だった。
ある日、プライベートでランニング中のウンジェは、派手なスポーツカーの自爆事故を目撃する。瀕死状態だった男を救急車で病院に運び、自分がメスを握って助ける。
外科医としての使命感で助けた男は大企業ドウソングループ会長の御曹司だった。御曹司は自分を救ったウンジェを気に入る。会長も礼をするため病院に顔を出す。科長は御曹司を執刀したウンジェを当病院のエースとして会長に紹介する。会長はウンジェをほめるが、「科長の指導のおかげです」と科長を立てる。会長はウンジェの人間性をほめて去る。
科長はウンジェに言う。
「君はその場の空気も読める人だ。寄付が増える、と院長も喜んでおられた。何か望むものはないか？ 叶えてやろう」
嫌だ御免だ、と思いつつ、母が訪ねて寄こさせた重篤患者の手術の許可を願うウンジェだった。
病院船を浮かべた海は荒れていた。荒れる嵐の中、 片付け作業中に乗組員のソン・ジョンホが腕を損傷する。甲板と船室をつなぐ出入り口の鉄蓋に手首を挟まれたのだ。
パク船長は負傷者を病院に運ぶため、船の舵を握った。しかし前方は雨風で視野が利かない。
「無理だ。無理だよ。病院まで行けそうにない」
「行けないって…何としてでも」
ヤン甲板長は船長を押しのけようと突進する。
「下がってろ」とパク船長。
「行かないとだめです」
甲板長はもう一度舵を握ろうとする。
後ろからチュ事務長が引き留める。
「落ち着くんだ。下手したら全員死ぬんだぞ」
ヤン甲板長は事務長の腕を払った。そして叫んだ。
「そしたら、ジョンホはどうなるんだ？」
「…」
「ジョンホは腕を失うかもしれないんだ」
「腕は―…救う」
事務長の言葉に船長は振り返る。
「どうやって？」と甲板長。
「病院船で手術する」
そう答えて事務長は手術の準備を始める。
船に向かって駆けてくる一人の女性外科医がいる…。

"I can't. I can't. I don't think I can go to the hospital."
"I can't go ... whatever."
Boatswain Yang rushes to push the captain away.
"Go down," said Captain Park.
"You have to go"
The boatswain tries to take his helm again.
Secretary-general Chu will detain him from behind.
"Calm down. If you're not good, everyone will die."
Boatswain Yang paid the arm of the secretary. And he shouted.
"Then what happens to Jongho?"
"..."
"Jongho may lose his arm."
"His arm ... saves"
The captain looks back on the words of the secretary.
