ベトナム戦争開戦直後に世界11都市に発表したメッセージ

その３年後に発表された楽曲です

冒頭で登場する「Kyoko」はヨーコの前夫トニーとの子供のこと
「ジュリアン」はジョンの前妻シンシアとの子供のこと
ちなみに1975年にジョンとヨーコとの間にSean（ショーン）が誕生

イエローとレッドは黄色人種と先住民（もしくは共産主義者）説と
時代背景（ベトナム戦争中）と曲の意味を考えると争い合う当時の
ベトナム共和国（南）とベトナム民主共和国（北・社会主義国家）
と解釈する説もあるようです
