身近にあるものを英語で言ってみよう - 洗濯編

Today, let’s learn some daily English vocabulary.
If I ask you to name some household chores, you can might name this activity.
The activity is, I think, everyone does almost every day.
Yes, today's vocabulary is about laundry, however, the vocabulary related to laundry is not familiar with Japanese.
So, let's learn and practice from now!
For example...
・washing machine
・laundry
・hamper
・detergent
・softener
・laundry pole
・drier
・drycleaner
Also, you can use these in your sentences...
・do the laundry
・load the washing machine with the detergent
・hang out my clothes to dry
When you have a chance to talk about laundry, please try to use them!

本日は“身近にあるものを英語で言ってみよう - 洗濯編”です。

“家事”と聞いたら何を思い浮かべるでしょうか？

掃除・洗濯…という感じで思い浮かぶと思いますが、今日は“洗濯”に関する英語を取り上げてみたいと思います。

洗濯は身近で日常的な活動ですが、洗濯に関する英語はそれほど馴染みがないと思います。

例えば…

・洗濯機 - washing machine

・洗濯物 - laundry

・洗濯かご - hamper

・洗剤 - detergent

・柔軟剤 - softener

・物干し竿 - laundry pole

・乾燥機 - drier

・クリーニング店 - drycleaner

なお、以下の英語表現もよく使う表現だと思います。

・洗濯をする - do the laundry

・洗濯機に洗剤を入れる - load the washing machine with the detergent

・干して乾かす - hang out my clothes to dry
