Here you are some of the cover letters of newsletters for "Noriko's World Library"!!

I wish I could show the inside pages of the newsletters because they are full of "Event Review" "Feedback" "Special columns of verious interesting topics" "Book Review" "Noriko's Essay" "This is Noriko with Gentle Words" and verious informations.  However, I cannot show inside pages because there are lots of the pictures of the children, their parents, volunteer people from overseas to read the English books who came to my library. Each newsletter had 20-25 pages. It is to protect personal information.

I owe so much for those who helped out to edit, to print out, to print the addresses to sent not only in Japan but also the people overseas, hold and put them in the envelopes etc. to let them know "What's up at Noriko's World Library" on the regular basis.  "Noriko's World Library" was totally volunteer activity....in the hope of dedicate for the "World Peace" so that each and everyone live in peace and safe in the world.　No political, religeous, profit issues involved in my activity. "World Peace" wound just won't happen, but we should select "Peace" and act & go for it.

The children who used to come to my library are now grown up to be in their 20's & 30's after 15 years later now.  Everytime I got a mail, telephone call, from them that my activity affect their lives made me feel serene & happy, and I feel the seeds I planted 15 years ago has surely grown and bloom to be beautiful flowers....It was worth doing it......that is why I decided to re-open it by this blog last year.

これらが、Noriko's World Libraryのニュースレターの表紙のいくつかです。

中身をここで、ご紹介できないのが残念です。記事は、「イベントのテーマや、そのテーマに関した絵本の読み聞かせの様子」　「子どもたちや参加された親や保育者などからのお便りや感想」　「その時々の面白いコラム」　「絵本の紹介欄」　「のりこのエッセイ」　「のりこからの言葉」や各種イベントやいろんな情報満載でした。　この記事でご紹介できない理由は、その中身に、参加して下さった、多くの子どもたちや親、保育関係者や、帰国子女、ボランティアで参加して下さった海外の方々の写真満載だからです。個人情報保護の関係上、掲載は控えざるを得ませんでした。

Noriko's World Libraryは、私設ライブラリーで、多くのボランティアの方々のお陰で成り立っていました。イベントに来て下さった外国人を始め、これらのニュースレター発行には、記事の編集、印刷、国内外の方々に郵送するために封筒に住所を印刷、２０ページから２５ページのニュースレターを順番にページに組み合わせて手折りして封筒に入れる作業など、皆さんとおしゃべりしながらとても楽しかったです。　すべては、無償の奉仕であり、それは、地球の一人一人全ての人々が、安心して安全に暮らせる「世界の平和」を願い行動したのです。「平和」はただ願うだけではかないません。それを、「選択」し、行動してゆかねばかないません。　そこに、なんの政治的、宗教的、なんの打算を入れてはなりません。

約１５年前、Noriko's World Libraryに来て下さっていた子どもたちは、今、２０代や３０代の時代を動かす、世界に貢献できる人材として、成長してくれています。　それぞれの人生の道を選択し、生き生きと目標を持って進んでいる、かつては子どもだった彼らからメールや電話の便りを受ける度、あの時、私たちがやっていた事は、無駄ではなかった！　あの頃撒いた「平和の種」が、確実に芽を出し、成長して、花開いてくれていると確信するのです。とても嬉しい事です。・・・・それが、私が、去年、このブログでライブラリーを再開することにした所以です。

私のお気に入りの絵本、「ルピナスさん」（バーバラ・クーニー作）や「にんじんのたね」（ルース・クラウス作・　　クロケット・ジョンソン絵）のように。（笑）
