Maya Angelow born on April 4, 1928. is Afro-American woman who wrote the story " I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings". The poem "Still I Rise" has been a source of my life to keep going. This is the page from my newsletter in Sept. 1997.

バラの花の香りをかぐ時間を持つの
きっと、心が穏やかになれるから
分かち合う時間を持つの
心と心が繋がるわ
音楽を楽しむ時間を持つの
それは魂への食べ物
喜ぶ時間を持つの
身も心も成長できるから
有難うやごめんなさいって言う礼儀を
人生は、それが言えないほど短くはないもの
TAKE TIME
Take time to read
It is the foundation of wisdom
Take time to play
It keeps your heart young no matter how long you live
Take time to smell the roses
It would make you feel serene
Take time to share
Heart and heart connect each other
Take time to enjoy music
It is the food for soul
Take time to rejoyce
You would grow healthy in body and soul
Take time for courtesy to say thank you and sorry
because life is not so short to say them

星に願うの
世界がハーモニーで包まれると
世の中が安全で安心な平和になるように
星に願うの
世界を美しくする事をしたいの
子ども達の心に平和の種を蒔きたいの
