I came upon a gardener Mr. Watanabe in a rose garden nearby yesterday morning. He said "Good morning" with a big smile to me. He explained me about the history of the garden and about the gardens he designed and the trees he planted, how big they grew now. He is a magician with more than green thumbs.

正面の くすの木 は渡辺さんが植えたものだそうです。ほんの？メートルの物がこれほどの木に育ったなんて感慨深いでしょうね。
私の叔父ふたりも造園師で、姉が花屋さんで、父が薬草園の園長をしていたこともありますと、ペチャクチャおしゃべり。（今度、写真貼ります。）

I just had my last Garden Club meeting this morning as President for two years. All went well and we are doing a new garden across the Lake in front of a lovely old home that will be used for the Junaluska Singers this summer. It should be fun.
