Cathy,It may not be a big difference to you, but let me correct a little bit about teaching English. In Japan, English is a foreign language not a second language, so it might be harder to teach, I guess.

Kayoko,
I'm not sure if you will remember me from Wesleyan (class of 1978). I plan on "retiring" from teaching ESL at my elementary school in two more years and was thinking about teaching overseas for a year after that. I remembered that you said you taught English as a Second Language in Japan, so I thought I'd check with you about the possibility of teaching English in Japan. What are your thoughts?
