Wow, hay fever season is here already. Are you getting itchy eyes or runny nose yet?
Today I started taking hay fever medicine. It makes me sleepy but it’s nice to be free from the symptoms. I did not have hay fever for 12 years when I lived in Gifu ken but when I came to Sendai, I got it! OH NO !
When foreigners sneeze, the person nearby always says, “Bless you”. It basically means, “I hope the best for your health”. So, if a foreign person sneezes, don’t forget to say, “Bless YOU”! If you do that, they will feel welcome and comfortable. Maybe you can even make a new friend. Give it a try! Good Luck !
