今日のPhrase:
◆Give me a hug.
Today is a beautiful day!
I love Saturday like always!
It's the end of the week for the staff at Starry.
We had a lot of Eiken practice this week.
I noticed that students are very good at reading and answering.
However, listening is difficult for many students.
We can improve listening in many ways:
just hearing, conversation, and movies.
I try to get the students to speak English as much as possible in class.
I know I talk too much, but I love it when a student can talk back.
Think real hard: How many hours a month does a student actually hear English?
just 4 at Starry??
Do you watch some movies in English??
Do you have some foreign friends??
I think there has to be more than just 4 hours a month to get used to English.
I love the Japanese saying:
「習うより慣れろ」
My best recommendation is to watch a movie in English at least once a month. Make it fun!! See if you know any of the words people say. If you watch with Japanese subtitles, then try to match the Japanese words with the spoken English.
My favorite movies are action.
(I also love Japanese movies!!)
What are your favorites?
Sincerely,
Morgan
