A company in Moscow invited me as a speaker in Autumn 2017. I spoke on ‘Zen culture and the drawing of Zen’. A lady asked me a question after the lecture.
‘What does mean Buddhas enlightenment?’
I responded her.
‘Buddhas enlightenment has profound contents, so, I have nothing qualification to talk about it. However, we have a chance of a tiny awakening in our usually life. Do you have a family and children? You had a difficulty to birth a baby. However, you are quite rejoicing at it aren’t you. Childcare needs working hard and much worried. By way of such an experience you could understand your mother’s hardship. You took a defiant attitude toward your mother when your youth age, don’t you? You realized for the first time how much you owed to your parents. It is your tiny awakening. It is important that we should learn Buddhas teaching by way of experience like that.’
