How are you enjoying this early summer weekend?
It was “Canada day” yesterday (July 1st) in Canada.
Canada day is a national holiday and it meanas an independence day in Canada. (Congrats!)
When I was in Canada in 2008, I had a chance to spend Canada day hanging out with my English school’s staff members, friends, and students on the Beaches.
“The Beaches” is one of popular tourists’ spots in Toronto and it’s a great place to spend Canada day since we can see fireworks on that day from there!
(The fireworks were not as great as ones in Japan though…I mean the volume of the fireworks are much less.)
In the Beaches, we can take a good walk, play ball sports, and can do B.B.Q. (but as you know, drinking alcohol outside is illegal!!)
If you have a chance to visit Toronto, Canada (on Canada day or anytime) in the future, why don’t you visit the Beaches?

本日は“英語講師の留学経験 - Canada dayの過ごし方”です。
昨日７月１日は、カナダではCanada dayでした。(Congrats!)
Canada dayは独立記念日をお祝いする祝日です。
自分が２００８年にトロント・カナダに滞在していた時、Canada dayを当時トロントで働いていた英語学校の仲間たちと“The Beaches”（ビーチズ）で過ごした記憶があります。
The Beachesはトロントの中でも人気のある観光地で、Canada dayには花火を見ることもできます。（期待の花火は日本の花火に比べると、花火のボリュームや時間の点で見劣りしますが、海外で花火を見るという価値はあると思います）
またBeachesではCanada dayに花火を見るだけではなく、普段の日に散歩をしたり、球技、バーベキューをするのにはとても良い場所です。
（ご存知かとは思いますが、外での飲酒は禁止されていますので注意！）
将来、Canada day（以外の日でも）にトロント・カナダを訪れることがありましたら、是非Beachesで過ごされることをおすすめします！
