5月下旬、畑の栗（銀寄せ）は満開です。
木の下にいると、“ウーン”と甲高い羽音をさせて小さな蜂（まさか蠅？）がホバリングしているのが見えます。
樹高が5mを越えて畑の日当たりが悪くなってきました。今年の冬は芯を伐って、背丈を低くする必要があります。


海岸の傍で見かけたハゼノキも満開でした。一緒に行った植物の専門家は花を見て、オスの木だと言っていました。ハゼノキにオス、メスがあるなんて全く知らなかったので、一つ得をした気分になりました。

畑に植えた小玉スイカ

毎年甘い実を楽しんでいますが、昨年は早く蔓枯れして例年の半分くらいしか取れませんでした。


アナグマやイノシシが虎視眈々と狙っているのでフェンスで囲い、棚から吊るして作ります。
来月は狩猟免許（罠猟）の試験を受けます。うまくいけば、今年の秋・冬は罠でアナグマ＆イノシシを撃退できる？
