ヘビウリの花 Flowers of snake gourd

我が家や山梨の孫はヘビウリ（セイロンウリ、スリランカウリ）を食べるのに少しも抵抗がないのですが、たいていの人は縦縞の長いウリに（シマ）ヘビを連想するようで、あげようとしても断られてしまいます。

風で吹き倒されたミニトマトの隣がヘビウリの畝です。


今、真っ白なもじゃもじゃの花盛り、もう1週間もするとあっちこっちの枝にウリの赤ん坊が付き始めます。
