Good afternoon, everyone! Yesterday and today, we had some more fun activities at Starry. On Wednesday, kindergarten and 1st-grade students came to our school. The last two days, it was Grades 2 through Grade 6 students who attended the event. Everybody seemed to enjoy learning something new and playing fun games!! Yesterday, the kids made slime:

The children could choose any color they wanted for their slime. They made regular slime first, and then their own "original" slime (which could be fluffier or harder or stickier than other types of slime). And today, the students made a kind of "DIY" kaleidoscope:

Kaleidoscopes show pretty images when we point them toward light. Later, I think Starry will post some more photos of the students enjoying the summer event. The best part was in the afternoon each day, when all the kids could enjoy water balloon games together. There were a lot of smiles and happy faces!
Lastly, I want to give a quick update about the Tokyo Summer Olympics. There are only a couple of days left in the Olympics now. Japan has done very well! It's their highest number of gold medals ever, and also their highest number of overall medals. But since I am Canadian, I will tell you about the big news from the 200 meter race on Wednesday. Andre De Grasse from Canada won!!

The men's 100 meter race and 200 meter race are often called the two races which decide who is the "fastest man on earth". Usain Bolt from Jamaica had won the last three 200 meter gold medals (at the 2008, 2012, and 2016 Summer Olympics):

But Bolt retired recently, so everyone wanted to know who would be the next 200m champion. Yay!! It's an athlete from my country!!!!
Anyway, I hope you are all having a nice summer so far. See you later!!!
