While Japan might not be a tropical country, summers in Japan are hot and humid. You’ll know that we are officially entering the hottest period of the year when the rainy season is over and you start hearing cicadas. So, while you can enjoy the summer life in Japan, make sure to stay cool and hydrated as a lot of people suffer from heat stroke during the peak of summer.
If Japanese beaches are your getaway destination during the summer holidays, you might want to know how to get around the summer heat to enjoy your holiday to its fullest.
Summer starts with a rainy season from June until mid-July when it is usually cloudy and rainy. The high temperature for this period is generally between 25-27°C, with a low of around 18-19°C, but it`s the other way around. Today the temperature is high and setting its bar to its peak of summer. It feels like I`m living in a tropical country.
Beating this peaking temperature. I went again to the beach last weekend. I went to Shoubutama Beach. I played and watched some surfers practice and learn their surfing skills. Yes, surfing means that I can`t swim because the waves are a bit high, I can`t battle with waves just to stunt out my swimming skills. I just played there for an hour, ate some iced candy to pacify the hot weather, and went back home.
That day is a lot of fun.
