I was really impressed the word “fall forward “

For one thing, the way he talks.

How convincing!

For another, I have been feeling a bit down these days.

早く寝ようと思っていたのに、

そんなこと忘れて見入ってしまった。

It was so fascinating!

I’m a big fan of him, for I was really moved…???

It is worth watching especially people who are starting something new or a little bit feel down.

彼のファンだからではないと思う。

力強いスピーチは新しいことを始める人や、疲れた心に沁みていく。

I read an article about International women of the courage.

新聞で「国際勇気のある女性賞」についての記事を見た。

うーん🧐この賞は英語でなんというのだろう‥

International Women of the Brave?

→International Women of the Courage Award 

braveもcourageも勇気のあるという意味。

braveは勇敢な態度や行動にスポットが当たっている感じ。

→火事から犬を助けるなんて彼は勇敢だった。

It was brave of him to rescue a dog from a fire.

courageは、正しいことを正しいと

きちんと言える内面の強さ。

→禁煙の場所でタバコを吸ってる人に「禁煙ですよ」と言うとか。

It took a great courage for me to caution the old man not to smoke here.

なるほど。

他にもbold, plucky等々勇気に関する単語がある。

I said to myself “I had been more courageous, I wouldn’t have quit the previous job. “

内面の強さがあったらなぁ‥なんて。

I found there is a cute dog in front of a house on the way to the station.

She is so friendly.

そこそこ大きいけれど、一歳にはなっていないよう。まだまだ子供のようで本当にかわいい❤️

犬語が話せたらなぁなんて。

I am feeling tired these days.
