▲Yamatalk English Jolly Phonics Training
Yamatalk English Jolly Phonics Training 1
Date: Sunday 14th April 2019
Time: 10:00-13:30
Venue: Yamatalk English, Higashiyamato City, Tokyo
Fee: ￥8000 per teacher
Training will be taught in English but Japanese staff will be present.
This training will cover:
- What is synthetic phonics?
- The 5 skills for learning English literacy.
- The basic 42 sounds, along with their corresponding gestures and stories.
- Planning a Jolly Phonics lesson.(Ex: "e" Jolly Phonics Lesson Plan)
- Additional lesson activity ideas for younger learners.
- An overview of the Jolly Phonics learning materials.
The aim of this training is to give attendees a clear overview of the early stages of the Jolly Phonics program, as well as how to plan and teach simple lessons for students studying Jolly Phonics Pupil/Student Book 1 content.

- A more in depth look at the 5 skills, with additional ideas and teaching practice for each skill.
- A chance to plan and practice teaching a Jolly Phonics lesson.
- A closer look at Jolly Phonics learning materials, with recommendations on suitable materials to use for your specific situation.
This workshop is designed for those who have already taken our Jolly Phonics Training 1, or who have existing knowledge of the basics of Jolly Phonics (42 sounds, 5 skills).
