ゼパニヤ書１章１８節
主の怒りの日には、彼らの銀も彼らの金も彼らを救い出させることができません。
しかし、全地は主の嫉妬の火によって焼き尽くされます。
なぜなら、この方はその地に住むすべての者に迅速な完全破壊を行うからです。
主の怒りの日には、彼らの銀も彼らの金も彼らを救い出させる｛ヒフイル態｝ことができません。｛カル態未完了形｝
しかし、全地は主の嫉妬の火によって焼き尽くされます。｛ニフアル態未完了形｝
なぜなら、この方はその地に住むすべての者に迅速な完全破壊｛riddance｝を行うからです。｛完全に滅ぼされるからです：カル態未完了形｝

ゼパニヤ書１章
ユダの王アモンの子ヨシヤの時代に、クシの子ゼパニヤ、ゲダリヤの子、アマリヤの子、ヒゼキヤの子に臨んだ主の言葉
2 わたしは地の面からすべてのものを全く焼き尽くす。と主は言われます。
3 わたしは人も獣も焼き尽くし、天の鳥も、海の魚も、悪人とのつまずきも焼き尽くし、地の面から人を断つ。と主は言われます。
4 わたしは私の手をユダと、エルサレムのすべての住民の上に伸ばし、この地からバアルの残党を、祭司達とともに偶像崇拝の祭司の名を絶つ。
5 また、天の軍勢を屋上で拝む者、主に向かって誓う者、マルカムに向かって誓う者、これらの者です。
6 また、主に従わない者、主を求めず、主を慕わない者です。
7 主の日は近づきました。主は犠牲を用意され、その客を聖別されたからです。
8 主の犠牲の日に、わたしは王子達、王の子ら、および異国の衣を着た者を罰するでしょう。
9 その同じ日に、わたしは敷居をとび越え、暴力と偽りでもって、その主人の家に満ちる者をことごとく罰するでしょう。
10 その日、主は言われます。
「聞け！ 魚の門から叫び声が聞こえ、第二の町から慟哭が聞こえ、丘から大きな崩落が聞こえる。
11 マクテシの住民よ！哭け！商人の民はみな破れ、銀を積んでいた者はみな断たれる。
12 その時、わたしは灯火をもってエルサレムを調べ、心の中で、「主は善をなさらず、悪をなさらない。」と言っている澱んでいる者を罰するでしょう。
12 その時、わたしは、ともしびをかざして、エルサレムを捜し、そのぶどう酒のかすの上によどんでいて、「主は良いことも、悪いこともしない」と心の中で言っている者どもを罰する。
13 それゆえ、彼らの富は戦利品となり、彼らの家は荒れ地となる。
すなわち、彼らは家を建ててもそこに住むことはなく、ぶどう畑を植えても、そのぶどう酒を飲むことはない。
14 主の大いなる日は近づきました。
近くなって大いに急ぐ、主の日の声も、力ある者が激しく叫びます。
15 その日は怒りの日、悩みの日、荒廃の日、暗黒の日、雲の日、厚い闇の日です。
16 砦のある町と、高い塔とに対する角笛と警報の日です。
17 わたしは人に苦難を与え、彼らが主に罪を犯したので、盲人のように歩むようにし、彼らの血は塵となり、彼らの肉は糞のように注がれるでしょう。
18 主の怒りの日には、その銀も金も彼らを救うことができません。
しかし、全地は主の嫉妬の火によって焼き尽くされ、地に住むすべての者を、いや、恐ろしいほどの最期を遂げるでしょう。
1 ユダの王、アモンの子ヨシヤの時代に、クシの子ゼパニヤにあった主のことば。クシはゲダルヤの子、ゲダルヤはアマルヤの子、アマルヤはヒゼキヤの子です。
2 わたしは必ず地の面から、すべてのものを取り除く。―主の御告げ―
3 わたしは人と獣を取り除き、空の鳥と海の魚を取り除く。わたしは、悪者どもをつまずかせ、人を地の面から断ち滅ぼす。―主の御告げ―
4 わたしの手を、ユダの上に、エルサレムのすべての住民の上に伸ばす。わたしはこの場所から、バアルの残りの者と、偶像に仕える祭司達の名とを、その祭司達とともに断ち滅ぼす。
5 また、屋上で天の万象を拝む者ども、また、主に誓いを立てて礼拝しながら、ミルコムに誓いを立てる者ども、
6 また、主に従うことをやめ、主を尋ね求めず、主を求めない者どもを断ち滅ぼす。
7 神です主の前に静まれ。主の日は近い。主が一頭のほふる獣を備え、主に招かれた者を聖別されたからだ。
8 主が獣をほふる日に、わたしは首長達や王子達、外国の服をまとったすべての者を罰する。
9 その日、わたしは、神殿の敷居によじのぼるすべての者、自分の主人の家を暴虐と欺きで満たす者どもを罰する。
10 その日には、―主の御告げ―魚の門から叫び声が、第二区から嘆き声が、丘からは大いなる破滅の響きが起こる。
11 泣きわめけ。マクテシュ区に住む者どもよ。商人はみな滅びうせ、銀を量る者もみな断ち滅ぼされるからだ。
12 その時、わたしは、ともしびをかざして、エルサレムを捜し、そのぶどう酒のかすの上によどんでいて、「主は良いことも、悪いこともしない」と心の中で言っている者どもを罰する。
13 彼らの財産は略奪され、彼らの家は荒れ果てる。彼らは家を建てても、それに住めず、ぶどう畑を作っても、そのぶどう酒を飲めない。
14 主の大いなる日は近い。それは近く、非常に早く来る。聞け。主の日を。勇士も激しく叫ぶ。
15 その日は激しい怒りの日、苦難と苦悩の日、荒廃と滅亡の日、やみと暗黒の日、雲と暗やみの日、
16 角笛とときの声の日、城壁のある町々と高い四隅の塔が襲われる日だ。
17 わたしは人を苦しめ、人々は盲人のように歩く。彼らは主に罪をおかしたからだ。彼らの血はちりのように振りまかれ、彼らのはらわたは糞のようにまち散らされる。
18 彼らの銀も、彼らの金も、主の激しい怒りの日に彼らを救い出せない。そのねたみの火で、全土は焼き払われる。主は実に、地に住むすべての者を達まち滅ぼし尽くす。
The word of the LORD which came unto Zephaniah the son of Cushi, the son of Gedaliah, the son of Amariah, the son of Hezekiah, in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah.
2 I will utterly consume all things from off the face of the earth, saith the LORD.
3 I will consume man and beast, I will consume the fowls of the heaven, and the fishes of the sea, and the stumblingblocks with the wicked; and I will cut off man from off the face of the earth, saith the LORD.
4 And I will stretch out My hand upon Judah, and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and I will cut off the remnant of Baal from this place, and the name of the idolatrous priests with the priests;
5 And them that worship the host of heaven upon the housetops; and them that worship, that swear to the LORD and swear by Malcam;
6 Them also that are turned back from following the LORD; and those that have not sought the LORD, nor inquired after Him.
7 Hold thy peace at the presence of the Lord GOD; for the day of the LORD is at hand, for the LORD hath prepared a sacrifice, He hath consecrated His guests.
8 And it shall come to pass in the day of the LORD'S sacrifice, that I will punish the princes, and the king's sons, and all such as are clothed with foreign apparel.
9 In the same day also will I punish all those that leap over the threshold, that fill their master's house with violence and deceit.
10 And in that day, saith the LORD, Hark! a cry from the fish gate, and a wailing from the second quarter, and a great crashing from the hills.
11 Wail, ye inhabitants of Maktesh, for all the merchant people are undone; all they that were laden with silver are cut off.
12 And it shall come to pass at that time, that I will search Jerusalem with lamps; and I will punish the men that are settled on their lees, that say in their heart: 'The LORD will not do good, neither will He do evil.'
13 Therefore their wealth shall become a booty, and their houses a desolation; yea, they shall build houses, but shall not inhabit them, and they shall plant vineyards, but shall not drink the wine thereof.
14 The great day of the LORD is near, it is near and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD, wherein the mighty man crieth bitterly.
15 That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness,
16 A day of the horn and alarm, against the fortified cities, and against the high towers.
17 And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like the blind, because they have sinned against the LORD; and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as dung.
18 Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD'S wrath; but the whole earth shall be devoured by the fire of His jealousy; for He will make an end, yea, a terrible end, of all them that dwell in the earth.
