スイスアルプスでは夏のあいだ山にいた牛たちを里に戻す「牧くだり」という行事があります。
観光名物となっており村単位で行われる秋のお祭りでもあります。
この光景も「牧くだり」ですが家族単位で行われています。
インターラーケンからモントルーを結ぶゴールデンパス・エクスプレスは今やスイスを代表する観光ルートですが、撮影当時はローカル線でこの区間はバスで移動するのが一般的でした。
移動中に牛に出会うと大変です。
バスは牛のあとをゆっくりと進みます。
絵葉書のような光景ですが彼らには普段着の生活そのものです。
暖色の発色が苦手なＥＰＲですが、アルプスの秋の日差しに照らされる乳牛（ジャージー種）の茶色が映えます。
