Women's Singles Semi-final, 1st match

　　趣味のひとつとして、私は近所のテニスクラブでテニスを楽しんでいます。又、グランドスラムなどのテレビ観戦も大好きです。そして、いつか機会があれば、ウインブルドンかローランギャロスでの白熱する試合を、是非現地で観戦してみたいと思っていました。
One of my favorate things is to play tennis at a nearby tennis club. I also like to watch the grand slam matches on TV. It has been my long-time wish to watch the fascinating games direcly at Wimbledon or at Roland Garros.

　　幸いに、2009年6月4日で行なわれる全仏オープンテニスのチケットが予約できましたので、ローランギャロスに観戦に出かけました。この日は、女子シングルス準決勝2試合及び混合ダブルス決勝が行なわれました。
Fortunately, as I could succeed in reserving the ticket for the French Open to be held on June 4th, 2009, I went to Roland Garros to watch the events on that day. The programs of the day were two women's singles semi-final matches and a mixed doubles final match.

　　女子シングルス準決勝の第一試合はディナラ・サフィーナ（ロシア）対ドミニカ・チブルコヴァ（スロヴァキア）、第2試合はスベトラーナ・クズネツォワ（ロシア）対サマンサ・ストーサー（オーストラリア）でした。何れの試合でも、緊張感と迫力に満ちたプレイを堪能しました。結果は、2試合ともロシア勢の勝利でした。
The first game of the women's singles was fought between Dinara Safina (Russia)and Domonika Cibukova (Slovakia), and then the second between Svetlana Kuznetsva (Russia) and Samanthaa Stosur (Australia). All the fightings were really exciting and thrilling. In both matches, the winners were the Russians.

　　混合ダブルスは、アメリカ勢同士の対決で、リーゼル・フーバーとボブ・ブライアンのコンビが優勝しました。こちらの試合は、プレーヤーの俊敏さとボール・スピードの速さに感嘆しました。
In the mixed doubles, all the players were Americans. And the doubles team of Ms. Liezel Huber and Mr. Bob Bryan won the victory. I was amazed at how quickly the players moved and the ball was shot.
