Sanctions against Russia should be lifted to facilitate a recovery of the World economy
The earthquake of Magnitude 7.8 level occurred in southeastern Turkey and northwestern Syria on 6th February caused over 35 thousand deaths and left so many houses and buildings crushed on both sides. While expressing deep condolences and sympathy to those dead and their families, we should concentrate on the emergency relief, recovery of the lifelines and reconstructions. Especially in the cold winter season, people need shelter, heat and nutrition including milk for babies . However there appear many difficulties to deliver aid by private channels and NGOs as well as international organs. Among other things, shortage and soaring prices of energy & grain together with difficulties in bank transfers of money largely caused by the wide-ranging sanctions against Russia are making helping hands more difficult. And also the NATO initiated sanctions have been making the life in many developing countries more difficult.
Under the circumstances, I should like to propose a temporally lifting-up of the sanctions against Russia for about 3 months with the immediate effect. And along with it, also propose a temporally ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine to facilitate aid works in Turkey and Syria and for other humanitarian causes. To observe the ceasefire, the United Nations may be requested to send an international ceasefire observation mission.
