Journal of a "Bride" in New York

I write my daily experiences outside Japan.

A family of a friend of mine in Virginia called us on Sunday night.

They were at the Japanese store near our apartment for shopping.

My husband was tired but hearing from them helped my husband wide awake. He was joyful and was not tired anymore.

I got a hustle on to have them stay overnight in our apartment room.

It was a Columbus Day the following day and schools were off, but my husband had to go work.

So I got to give them a short tour in Manhattan.

It was very crowded on a holiday and with a Columbus Day Parade in Manhattan.

I showed them around somehow as we had planned, with a map in the hand.

I did it, with the help from my husband on the mobile phone and from the husband of my friend's.

Virginia and New York look very close on the American map, but actually they are not so close.

“We really had a good time with you guys. Let us know when you come by again. See you again.”
