Water Leak

2010-11-05 | 日記
Water had been dripping from a faucet of the washbasin, and it started to trickle.

To fix that, my husband said that the pipe under the kitchen sink needed fixing first.

He also said it's better to have the toilet fixed, too, to flush well.

He explained to me what exactly were wrong with these three places,
so I could tell a plumber about them.

I seriously listened to him explain
and had him tell me three more times to make sure I heard right.

I prayed in advance that I could explain to the plumber about the problems well
and that he would do the fixing right away and that it wouldn't take many days.

On that very morning, the plumber was in our apartment for another work!

As I had a chance to tell him about some problems of mine,
he came to our room right away to check.

As he was checking out our water problem, he asked my name and said to me, hearing it,

“You're a Japanese, aren't you? I'm a Chinese Philippine.”

I've never heard such a combination before. Anyway, we are Asian after all.

He said that he could come only next Saturday, but I decided to ask him to do the fixing,
because an estimated cost was reasonable.

However, on the afternoon of the same day, I found the pipe leaking under the kitchen sink.

I called the plumber to ask him to come the following day for the first aide at least.

However, he said to me, “I'll be there!” and hanged up.

He came to our apartment room and fix the leak in 10 minutes.

As he was about to leave, he said to me, “I'm coming next Monday. Take care.”

I wondered if he had told me he would come next Saturday.

Anyway, I like that much better.

It has been a long day, but I really thank God who answered my prayer
and gave me lots of help throughout the day.
