Restate the event or time when the fault occurred
Recount an incident or time when you experienced failure. How did it affect you and what lesson did you learn?

Failure always happens and it happens to everyone. “Failure is good!” I would always say, believing that failing was also one step further towards accomplishment. However, I do not realize that this positive view of mine is slowly blinding me from the most important thing: To learn from my mistakes and failures.
It was one of the most memorable moments in my life when we were in the sports meeting in junior school of the women’s relay swimming for 4x100 meter representing our school CHI, which we have been prepared for over a year. I've been swimming ever since I could remember, but somehow, I still wasn't very good at it. You'd imagine that the years of school champion and other stars of their school team would have rubbed off on me, but you'd be wrong. I wasn't completely hopeless because I was pretty fast, especially at the beginning, and I could beat my experienced teammate maybe three or four times out of ten. Therefore, I was pretty confident in this competition on behave of my school due to numerous of practice and competitive teammates.
The competition day arrived, and I was agitatedly waiting for my turn to be in the competition, yearning for an anticipated result. A few moments later, all of the 4×100 meter, swimmers gathered around the poolside and were ready to commence the “rivalry of the century”. When I finally took off from the diving board, I felt great relief. Within a blink of an eye, all of my competitors were behind me; it bolstered my confidence in winning the game. After passing the half line mark, I fell into extreme torpor, and that exhaustion became gradually more severe. The ominous feeling seemed to insinuate that I would lose this game, while others gradually passed by me one by one. Eventually, our team lost the competition by 2 second because of my lagging. I experienced a tremendous disbelief and an endless disillusionment which could never be delineated. For the next few days I was miserable thinking about how, if it hadn't been for me, our team might have been on their way to the trophy, and nothing anyone said could convince me that the loss wasn't on my shoulders.
About a week later, some of my friends from the team got together at the park to hang out. When I arrived, I was a little surprised that no one seemed to be mad at me - after all, I'd lost us the game, and they had to be disappointed about losing in the end. It wasn't until we split into teams for an impromptu game that I started to realize why no one was upset. Maybe it was comfort for my benefit to release my pressure, but sometime during that game, I'd lost sight of why most of us enjoyed swimming. It wasn't to win the championship, as cool as that would have been. It was because we all loved to swim. I didn't need a trophy or a Hollywood come-from-behind win to have fun swimming with my friends, but maybe I needed to strike out to remember that.
Most importantly, this experience taught me how crucial it is to accept my failures, my previous ones and the ones to come, but make sure to learn from them and never make the same mistake again.
