Barrack Hussein Obama is the current 44th president of the United States of America and he is also the first African American to hold this position. The story of Barack Obama can be regarded as a legend since he is a typical a self-made man to realize his American dream since the process for Barack Obama to become the president is released and printed by the mass media all over the world.
In the August 4th of the year of 1961, Barack Obama was born in Hawaii with the great comfort of his father from Kenya and his mother from Kansas of America. In 1983, he graduated and started his careers in New York City and Chicago respectively. During his four-year working years, he gained much life experiences and made many progresses in his field as director of the Developing Communities Project. An important event for Barack Obama happened in the late 1988 when he entered Harvard Law School. In 1989, when Barack Obama was employed as a summer associate at the Chicago law firm of Sidley Austin, he met his future wife Michelle Robinson and they got married in 1992 and had their two daughters in 1998 and 2001.
Compared with his unstable and changing personal life, Barack Obama’s political life seems to be more steady and promising even in the right beginning. In 1990, Obama became the first black president of the Harvard Law Review when he was still a student. In 1996, Obama was elected to the Illinois Senate, which was the formal begin of his political life. During his period, he gained the support for legislation reforming ethics and health care laws, which greatly contributed to his being reelected in the year of 1998 and his third election in 2002. In November 2004, Barack Obama was voted to be a member of the US senate and he became a formal senator in the January 1st of 2005. Till the year of 2008, Barack Obama was ranked by the Congress as the eleventh most powerful Senator. On February 10th of 2007, Barack Obama decisively announced his candidacy for President of the United States. On November 4th of 2008, Barack Obama became the first African American President of the United States and he was reelected to be the president in 2012, which was treated as a great breakthrough in American history. In his political life, besides the great domestic support, Barack Obama has also gained much international support and he established close relationships with many prominent foreign politicians such as Tony Blair, Walter Veltroni and Nicolas Sarkozy as reported by the media.
