A profound Japanese scientist,Tai Hasegawa’s Steinway, a heritage Rachmaninov’s Steinway, not to mention its mesmerizing sound it produces, but its historical importance is very much remarkable.
Dating back to the Golden age of New York City, where all the greatest artists immigrated to the U.S. from all over the world. It brings us greatest fascination this piano gave greatest joy not to mention to Sergei Rachmaninov, but also to Vladimir Horowitz, Samuel Barbar, Menotti, Rudolf Serkin, Bernstein, Maria Callas and to Yehudi Menuhin.
I do thank greatly for this opportunity, for letting me give my solo recital once again with this wonderful instrument. My greatest appreciation goes to Prof. Tal Haegawa, the owner of this piano, and to the piano producer, Yu Takagi.
邦人科学者、長谷川泰氏のラフマニノフのピアノ、日本に参りました。クラシック愛好家なら、誰しも憧れる、名だたるアメリカ黄金時代の巨匠達、ラフマニノフ以外にもホロヴィッツ！サミュエル・バーバー、メノッティ、バーンスタイン、ルドルフ・ゼルキン、マリア・カラス、メニューインがこの楽器と共に音楽の歴史を刻み、音楽を語り、集ったと言われているスタインウェイ。
同じ空気にいるだけでも凄まじい貫禄。11/26にこのスタインウェイでリサイタルをさせていただけますのは、本当に嬉しいです。長谷川泰様、ピアノプロデューサー高木裕様へ深く感謝申し上げます。
