食べ過ぎの子供

2006年11月21日 | ウィーン
最近一歳の子供がたくさん食べ過ぎて困っています。こんな悩みを持つ親はいるのでしょうか?

If we start preparing meal, he can not wait for it, and cries and cries. He eats meals as the same amount of that of adults. Moreover he eats a lot of fruits after then. I heard most babies could not sit long time during dinner and do not want to eat so much, but my son does sit more than one hour, with eating something!
Is he crazy!?
We have to make him give up eating to prevent from becoming obesity in near future. Otherwise he will be Sumo wrestler.

I want to speak more --悲痛な願い、仕事にならない--

2006年11月21日 | ウィーン
Even if you work in the hospital, I don’t think you are guaranteed to have a lot of opportunity to speak to someone.

The cause should be in you. Although people speak in German, they also can speak in English well. If you talk to someone in English, he/she will talk to you kindly and friendly in English. But if you have a problem of English ability, the circumstance would be different.

It may be somewhat strange if you talk to a professor as if you to talk to your friends. So it is better to talk to medical students or medical staffs if you want to chat more.
Unfortunately what they speak is more difficult to figure out for me than that of professor. Especially medical student can speak frankly and too fast for me.

Anyhow I have to do more practice. I ordered hearing CD series provided by a Japanese educational company, because getting good English educational materials for Japanese people is hard here.

I recognize eventually how to learn to speak in English language is the same in Japan. If I have some advantage here, I have a lot of chance to speak it in daily life. If I became to be able to talk more, I will discuss about many topics with many professors. I really want to be so.

Hearing is more important than speaking. I demand myself at least to listen the CD one hour daily and memory the words and idioms which are in my book I brought for TOEIC in Japan.

No call

2006年11月21日 | 病院
I was waiting for a pager call from the operation room.
I was supposed to get the call, when the operation stating time was decided which the professor was performing. Unfortunately I did not have any call today.

If someone tolds to me that he does not know what I need to know, I should ask another one about the same thing, because the answer is often different depending on the person, in this country. In this meaning, even if you are said “impossible or No”, you can try to ask another people. I guess you can get good results or what you have wanted.

I met the professor directly by chance; he said to me “where were you? I was looking for.” It was very sorry for me that I did not get any call. There must have been some mistakes in telephone operator.

I realize to do confirm every things by myself.

We will maybe have another operation. I am still waiting next call whether the operation is performed today or not. It is still 16 hour, but it is dark outside.

Every day I learn something new.
