国連のグテーレス氏はまた、今回の軍事衝突のきっかけとなった今月7日のハマスによるイスラエルへの攻撃について、「何もない状況で急に起こったわけではない」と主張した。

イスラエルはこれに猛反発している。イスラエルは「グテーレス氏に、即時の辞任を求める」とX（旧ツイッター）に投稿した。

イスラエルは、前日だけでガザ地区の標的400カ所以上を攻撃したと発表した。ハマスの施設を狙ったとしている。イスラエルは世界を敵にする、ようだ。
