I’m trying to capture wonderful sights which I cannot see with my own eyes but I’ll be able to find out with my pinhole camera by using its character, pan-focus.

In this series, I’m taking photos looking into a plastic bottle of water with my pinhole camera to find out slightly different and beautiful sights.

I’m apt to get carsick, so I tried several methods, including medicine, and came to the conclusion that drinking water from a plastic bottle is the best. Therefore, whenever I get on a car, train or ship, I bring along a bottled water.
One day on a train, I wondered what sight I could take with my pinhole camera, looking outside the window through the plastic bottle of water which I put on the windowsill.
As a result, I found a wonderful sight which is different from what I had seen with my own eyes, so I began to take photos looking into a plastic bottle of water whenever I get on a train or a ship.
Lately, I take these photos not only on vehicles but on streets and parks, because I always bring it as a charm to settle my nerves.

I’m going to show about 40 Type-C prints and several photos printed on acrylic plates which I’ve taken for three years since I exhibited this series for the first time in 2012.
