比如：On Friday I have an exam.

这句话就是正确的，难道有用到逗号吗？你的没错，这句话的确没有逗号。

只有当从句和后面部分之间，并不会出现歧义时，往往不需要用到逗号。比如：

To John, Smith was always polite.（这里是两个人）

如果去掉逗号，To John Smith was always polite. (这句话就出现语法错误了）

例如：

Students, therefore, should be allowed to use cell phones in class.

My neighbors, John and Kim Sullivan, are both professors at the college.

His brother, who had been a vegetarian for years, refused to come to family barbecues.

这里的四个案例，你会发现，逗号部分如果直接去掉，整个句子也是完整和正确的。
