At first, local food is much better than food in supermarket in its taste. I believe that each of us has the experience that local food is more delicious while they fried, boiled, and in other cooking ways. Different local food is fit to different seasons, different surroundings because of their different genetic factors. They taste best only they grow in the most fit surroundings. Confucius ever said, Suitable season, applicable food. That means people shall eat applicable in certain food, for instance, eating watermelons in Summer and eat apples in Fall. People can eat directly when they pick up some local food, such as local cucumbers, local tomatoes, local pears, etc. That is because those local food do no harmful to their health at all, and they do not have any pesticide, insecticide, herbicide, and so on. Local food is living in the wild, and they absorbing any nourishing thing in the earth. Taking frost as an example to illustrate it. As often the case, the leaves of Chinese cabbages with frost are much sweet than those without any frost. That is because starch in the leaves of Chinese cabbages can hydrolyze to barely-sugar at low temperature. And then, the barely-sugar can turn glucose that easily dissolved in water, which makes sugar concentration of nectar in the cells higher.

Secondly, local food keeps us far away from the noisy city life and be close to nature. To be honest, I do not know clearly when pears are ripe and when strawberries harvest, because I can see them in the market all time. I am sure that I am not the only one who do not know about them. Admittedly, the development of science and technology brings us a lot of benefits; however, it prevents us far away from nature. We could not see much more green trees and blue sky any more. Pointing at the sky in one of pictures of journey of my brother, I asked him, “Is the sky real?” He replied, “Why not?” At that moment, I realized that there do is real blue sky in China. Nature is the mother of human beings, and we can not be far away from her.
In addition, local food is very environmental. “Eating local food is better for air quality and pollution than eating organic.” We do not need antibiotic any longer, and we can keep ourselves far away from bio-terrorism. If we begin to eat local food, food with chemical elements would lost their market, and then, the pollution to the ground and underground water would be less and less. Later on, fresh water and air would come back. Remainder of local food after our eating could be new fertilizer for other local food. All living things are in their certain routine, and contribute their whole life to the circulation.
In short, local food is benefit to us and this world. Any of us could not deviate from the only planet that we are living now, and it is undeniable duty to exert all our energies to keep it clean and safe. That is it. (610 words)
