下面为大家整理一篇优秀的essay代写范文 -- My father was the greatest influence in my life,文章讲述父亲是我一生中最重要的人。我欠他今天的我。我很幸运能有一个像他这样的人在我迷路时为我提供指导,在我受伤时为我安抚,在我外出时保护我,在我寻求安慰时为我提供庇护。
My father was the greatest influence in my life
My father is the most important person in my life. I owe who I am today to him. I am so lucky to have someone like him in my life to guide me when I am lost, to soothe me when I am hurt, to protect me when I am out and to provide me with a harbor when I look for comfort.
My father, like most husbands in the world, is the bread-winner in the family. Most of the time, he is pretty occupied with his work. However, whenever he has time, he will take some time out for me. When I was in the primary school, my father always checked with me whether my homework was properly done. I still remember the strict way that my father dealt with my homework when I was young. That time that my father checked my homework is still fresh in my mind. Back then I was in Grade 2, primary school. One night I hurried finishing my homework in a very careless way in the hope I could have more time to go out and have fun. Yet all of my secret wishes did not escape my dad’s eyes. He could tell that I did not take my homework seriously and he demanded me to do my homework again. The first impulse of a young girl was a big denial. All I wanted then was freedom and being wild instead of being tied up with the boredom of homework. Seeing my persistence and my attitude, my father became furious and he tore up my homework all of a sudden. I stood there, frozen. Seeing the scrapes of papers laying all over the floor, I burnt into tears. I could have never imagined my father would do this to punish me. Of course, the rest is history and I learned my lesson the hard way. I never tried my father’s patience any more. There were still more examples that demonstrated that my father has no concession to make in regards to my attitude to study. There was a time when I was asked to recite an English passage to my parents in one assignment and had their signing to show that I got it done. I thought that I finally could fool my father around since he did not know anything of English. He would never know what came out of my mouth when it came to speaking English. Imagined the shock I felt and how unwilling I was when my father asked me to write down the English passage by memory. This is even painful than actually learning it by heart. I was only in Grade 3 then. My English was so limited. No matter how I begged my father, he still insisted on me writing it down on a paper so that he could compare my writing to the original. In that way, he could be totally sure whether I have learned the English passage by heart. Despite all my grudges inwards, I managed to write it down. Yet the pain was not over. My father looked at my work so thoroughly that he would not let go of the punctuation. The little coma that I mistook for a full stop resulted me in re-writing it all over again. That’s was a really big cost. However, looking back, I am so grateful for the way my father treated my study. Without his strictness, I would have not learned to be serious about my study and further, everything in my life.
Parents always want to give their kids the best in the world. My father is no exception. However, at the same time, he is a man of principle. When I was young, like any other kid, I longed to have all the toys in my bedroom. So when I went to the mall with my father one day, I cried to him to buy me a toy. Now that I know generally speaking, parents would do anything to please their kids. But crying in the public, my father would never buy it. I dragged my father’s feet in front of the toy store, determined I would never leave there until he bought the toy for me. And I cried out loud. Everyone passed by shot me a quick glance. Yet my father just left me there and went away. I failed in my attempts and had to catch up with him, crying all the way. When I grow up and start the education, my father becomes a yes man when I ask for something concerning my study. My father never cuts back on the spending on buying me books, stationery. If I want to go to summer camps and he thinks it is useful for me, he will pay the fees for me. He will send me to the most prestigious school as long as he can. I am more than lucky to have a father like this who will do everything for his daughter’s education. I am also sorry that my father has not bought himself a piece of garment for a couple of years. All his sacrifice is for his daughter to have the best education.
My father is the biggest influence in my life. I cannot be who I am now without his love and care. My father laid the most solid ground for me to step on and I know he will have my back any time.
