In May 2019, President Zelensky, who was a comedian, had an approval rating of over 75% when he took office. He was extremely popular. However, the following year, it dropped to the 30% range.

In early October 2021, the "Pandora Papers" issue spread around the world. Docu-ments obtained by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) revealed that world political leaders were involved in transactions using tax havens.

President Zelensky's name was also included in the documents, and his approval rating fell further. After that, on October 26, 2021, the Ukrainian military carried out a drone attack on pro-Russian forces in the conflict area.

President Zelensky announced the abolition of the Minsk Agreement 2. It seems that the president was originally opposed to this agreement.

In 2014, during the previous president's term, a ceasefire was achieved through the Minsk Agreement 2 (second agreement) mediated by Germany and France. This agreement is registered with the United Nations and is recognized by the interna-tional community.

Ukraine has also received criticism from Western countries because drone attacks by the Ukrainian military violated the agreement in July 2020, when the Minsk Agreement II was strengthened.

It is also said that this prohibited act was the "cause for Russia to take military ac-tion."

Just before the war began, Zelensky's approval rating fell to 17%. However, after the war began, it rose sharply to over 90%. Omitted.
