ある日、太郎さんは山登りを楽しんでいました。山の頂上に着くと、素晴らしい景色が広がっていましたが、ところどころに木が少なくなっている場所が目立ちました。太郎さんはその景色をスケッチしようと、鉛筆を取り出しました。
すると、鉛筆から突然、木の精霊が現れました。「おお、これは何だ？」と驚く太郎さん。精霊は「この鉛筆は、この山で育った木から作られたんだよ。でも、木が切られて山の土壌が弱ってきているんだ」と言いました。
太郎さんは「それは大変だね。どうすればいい？」と尋ねました。精霊は「この景色を絵に描いて、街のみんなに植林の大切さを伝えてほしいんだ」と頼みました。
すると、近くで山登りをしていた子供たちが「何してるの？」と興味津々に近づいてきました。太郎さんは木が少なくなっている山の絵を見せました。子供たちは「木が少なくて寂しいね」「もっと木があったらいいのに」と言いました。太郎さんは「ありがとう！今日は12月5日、世界土壌デーだから、みんなで山を守ろう！」と笑顔で答えました。太郎さんと子供たちは一緒に楽しく山の絵を描きました。
The Picture of the Mountain and the Spirit's Wish
One day, Taro was enjoying a hike up a mountain. When he reached the top, he saw a beautiful view, but he also noticed that there were fewer trees in some places. Taro took out his pencil to sketch the scene.
Suddenly, a tree spirit appeared from the pencil. "Oh, what is this?" Taro exclaimed in surprise. The spirit said, "This pencil was made from a tree that grew on this mountain. But many trees have been cut down, and the soil is getting weak."
Taro asked, "That's terrible. What can I do?" The spirit replied, "Please draw this scene and show everyone in the town how important it is to plant trees."
Just then, some children who were hiking nearby came over and asked, "What are you doing?" Taro showed them the picture of the mountain with fewer trees. The children said, "It's sad that there are so few trees. We wish there were more." Taro smiled and said, "Thank you! Today is December 5th, World Soil Day. Let's all help protect the mountain!" Taro and the children happily drew pictures of the mountain together.
