ある日、お菓子の歴史について調べるために、リスのリッキーとウサギのウーちゃんが図書館に行きました。リッキーが「20世紀のお菓子から調べてみよう！」と言うと、ウーちゃんが「それなら絵を描いてみよう！」と提案しました。
リッキーは鉛筆を取り出し、まずは20世紀のお菓子として羊羹、ホールケーキ、カステラを描きました。ウーちゃんが「これらは大きな塊を切り分けて食べるお菓子だね！」と言い、リッキーは「そうだね！」と答えました。次に21世紀のお菓子を描き始めました。
リッキーは個別包装のクッキーやショートケーキを描きました。ウーちゃんが「個別包装のクッキーは一つずつ楽しめるから、少人数向けだね！」と言い、リッキーは「ショートケーキも人数分で楽しめるね！」と答えました。二人は描いたお菓子を見て大笑いしました。
リッキーが「これって家族の形の変化を表しているね！」と気づきました。ウーちゃんが「そういえば、今日、12月22日は改正民法公布記念日、家父長制が夫婦単位に変わって、そこから始まったんだ！」と言いました。その後、二人は図書館の帰りに好みの違うショートケーキを買って、楽しく過ごしました。
Ricky and Woo's Sweet History Adventure
One day, Ricky the Squirrel and Woo the Rabbit went to the library to learn about the history of sweets. Ricky said, "Let's start with sweets from the 20th century!" Woo suggested, "Let's draw pictures of them!"
Ricky took out a pencil and drew yokan, a whole cake, and castella from the 20th century. Woo said, "These are big sweets that you cut into pieces to share!" Ricky replied, "That's right!" Next, they started drawing sweets from the 21st century.
Ricky drew individually wrapped cookies and shortcakes. Woo said, "Individually wrapped cookies are good for small groups!" Ricky added, "Shortcakes are perfect for one person each!" They both laughed at their drawings.
Ricky realized, "These sweets show how families have changed!" Woo said, "Today is December 22nd, the day the Civil Code was revised, changing from large families to couples!" After that, they bought their favorite shortcakes on the way home from the library and had a fun time.
