エゼキエル書３５章

 

また、主の言葉が私に臨んで言った。
「人の子よ！セイル山に顔を向けて、それに向かって預言しなさい！
3 そしてこれに告げよ！見よ！セイル山よ！
私はあなたに向かい、あなたに手を伸ばし、あなたを最も荒れ果てさせよう。
4 私はあなたの町々を荒廃させ、あなたは荒れ果てるであろう。
5 あなたは昔から憎しみ、その災の時、終わりの咎の時に、イスラエルの子孫達を剣の力に投げつけたからだ。
6 それゆえ、主なる神は言われる。
私は血のためにあなたを用意し、血はあなたを追う。
あなたは自分の血を憎んだので、血はあなたを追うであろう。
6 それゆえ、—私は生きている。神である主の御告げ—私は必ずおまえを血に渡す。血はおまえを追う。おまえは血を憎んだが、血はおまえを追いかける。
7 こうして私はセイル山を最も荒れさせ、通る者も帰る者も、そこから断つ。
8 私はその山々をその殺された者達で満たし、あなたの丘、谷、すべての川で、剣で殺された者達が倒れる。
9 私はあなたを永久に荒廃させ、あなたの町は帰らない。
そして、あなたがたは私が主であることを知るであろう。
9 私はおまえを永遠に荒れ果てさせる。おまえの町々は回復しない。
おまえたちは、私が主であることを知ろう。
10 あなたは言ったからだ。
『この二つの民、この二つの国は私たちのものとなり、私たちはこれを所有する。』
しかし、主はそこにおられた。
10 おまえは、『これら二つの民、二つの国は、われわれのものだ。われわれはそれを占領しよう』と言ったが、そこに主がおられた。
11 それゆえ、主なる神は言われる。
私は生きている限り、あなたの怒りと、あなたが憎しみから彼らに用いたねたみのとおりに行い、私があなたを裁く時、彼らの中に私を知らせるであろう。
12 そして、あなたは主である私が、あなたがイスラエルの山々に対して語ったあなたの冒涜をことごとく聞き、こう言ったことを知るようになる。
『それらは荒れ果て、われわれを食い尽くすために与えられた。』
13 あなたがたはその口で、私に向かって自分を大きくし、私に向かって言葉を重ねたが、私はこれを聞いている。
14 主なる神はこう言われる。
全地が喜ぶ時、私はあなたを荒れ果てさせよう。
15 あなたがイスラエルの家の相続地が荒れ果てたので、そのことを喜んだように、私もあなたにそうする。
セイル山よ！また、すべてのエドムよ！あなたは荒れ果てよ！
そして、彼らは私が主であることを知るであろう。

5 おまえはいつまでも敵意を抱き、イスラエル人が災難に会うとき、彼らの最後の刑罰の時、彼らを剣に渡した。
6 それゆえ、—私は生きている。神である主の御告げ—私は必ずおまえを血に渡す。血はおまえを追う。おまえは血を憎んだが、血はおまえを追いかける。
7 私はセイルの山を荒れ果てさせ、廃墟とし、そこを行き来する者たちを断ち滅ぼす。
8 私はその山々を死体で満たし、剣で刺し殺された者たちがおまえの丘や谷や、すべての谷川に倒れる。
9 私はおまえを永遠に荒れ果てさせる。おまえの町々は回復しない。おまえたちは、私が主であることを知ろう。
10 おまえは、『これら二つの民、二つの国は、われわれのものだ。われわれはそれを占領しよう』と言ったが、そこに主がおられた。
11 それゆえ、—私は生きている。神である主の御告げ—おまえが彼らを憎んだのと同じほどの怒りとねたみで、私はおまえを必ず罰し、私がおまえをさばくとき、私自身を現そう。
12 おまえはイスラエルの山々に向かって、『これは荒れ果てて、われわれのえじきとなる』と言って、侮辱したが、主である私がこれをみな聞いたことを、おまえは知るようになる。
13 私たちは、私に向かって高慢なことばを吐いたが、私はそれを聞いている。
14 神である主はこう仰せられる。私はおまえを荒れ果てさせ、全土を喜ばせよう。
15 おまえは、イスラエルの家の相続地が荒れ果てたのを喜んだが、私はおまえに同じようにしよう。セイルの山よ。おまえは荒れ果て、エドム全体もそうなる。人々は、私が主であることを知ろう。

Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying:
2 'Son of man, set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesy against it,
3 and say unto it: Thus saith the Lord GOD: Behold, I am against thee, O mount Seir, and I will stretch out My hand against thee, and I will make thee most desolate.
4 I will lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be desolate; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.
5 Because thou hast had a hatred of old, and hast hurled the children of Israel unto the power of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time of the iniquity of the end;
6 therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will prepare thee unto blood, and blood shall pursue thee; surely thou hast hated thine own blood, therefore blood shall pursue thee.
7 Thus will I make mount Seir most desolate, and cut off from it him that passeth through and him that returneth.
8 And I will fill his mountains with his slain; in thy hills and in thy valleys and in all thy streams shall they fall that are slain with the sword.
9 I will make thee perpetual desolations, and thy cities shall not return; and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
10 Because thou hast said: These two nations and these two countries shall be mine, and we will possess it; whereas the LORD was there;
11 therefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will do according to thine anger and according to thine envy, which thou hast used out of thy hatred against them; and I will make Myself known among them, when I shall judge thee.
12 And thou shalt know that I the LORD have heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying: They are laid desolate, they are given us to devour.
13 And ye have magnified yourselves against Me with your mouth, and have multiplied your words against Me; I have heard it. 
14 Thus saith the Lord GOD: When the whole earth rejoiceth, I will make thee desolate.
15 As thou didst rejoice over the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so will I do unto thee; thou shalt be desolate, O mount Seir, and all Edom, even all of it; and they shall know that I am the LORD.
