16.Sales & marketing differences
I have run into cases where sales people are asked to do marketing. How can one salesman cover one region know the total demand for the whole national or global market? Sales and marketing are different. They carry different functions and must help each other. I explain that is this 30 slide presentation to make those differences clear and could be applied globally as well.


17.Surviving in a recession
Some companies thrive in recessions. Some of the greatest success of all time came in recessions. How are those companies different? I explain this in this 41slide presentation.


18.Building competitive strategy
How can a company become more competitive? That is a very complicated question; therefore I really had to do a lot of studies over and above the competitive advantages in my sales seminars. After much study and research, I produced an in-detailed 64 slide presentation on this covering not only a company’s competitive advantage, but a whole industry.


19.Bottom of pyramid business development
When we look at the total global market we notice 4 billion people that live on less than US$2/day.
Because of the number of people, they have US$5 trillion in purchasing power. How does a company sell in that market? I use the tools learned in the Blue Ocean Strategy and apply it to this market. Also, I give many examples of success stories. I present it in a 19 slide presentation.


20.Production Management
As I mentioned in chapter #15 that I had a chance to help set up a production operation for an American company in China. I learned a great deal that exercise. I learned that each process has its limitations. How do you arrange the production line to get the most performance and not necessarily spend money in expensive equipment? I discuss this in this 41 slide presentation.
