民数記９章

主はシナイの荒野で、彼らがエジプトの国から出た後の第二年の第一の月にモーセに告げて言われました。
2 「イスラエルの子孫に過越の祭りをその定められた季節に守らせなさい！
3 あなたがたはこの月の十四日、夕暮れに、定められた季節にそれを守り、そのすべての掟に従って、それを守らなければならない。」
4 そこで、モーセはイスラエルの子孫に、過越の祭りを守るようにと話しました。
5 そこで、彼らは第一の月の十四日、夕暮れにシナイの荒野で過越の祭を守り、主がモーセに命じられたすべてのことに従って、イスラエルの子孫もこれを行いました。
6 しかし、ある人達が、人の死体によって汚れたので、その日に過越の祭りを守ることができず、その日、モーセとアロンの前に来ました。
7 その人達はモーセに言いました。
「私達は人の死体によって汚れています。どうして私達は引き留められ、イスラエルの子孫の間で定められた季節に主の供え物をもってこないのでしょうか。」
8 そこでモーセは彼らに言いました。
「主があなたがたに何を命じられるか、私が聞くために、あなたがたは留まっていなさい！」
9 そこで、主はモーセに語って言われました。
10 「イスラエルの子孫に告げて言え！あなたがたのうち、あるいはあなたがたの代々の者が、死体のために汚れたり、あるいは遠くへ旅している時でも、主に向かって過越の祭りを守らなければならない。
11 第二の月の十四日の夕暮れに、彼らはこれを守り、種を入れないパンと苦い香草とをもって、これを食べなければならない。
12 彼らは朝までそれを少しも残してはならず、またその骨をも折ってはならない。過越の祭りのすべての定めにしたがって、これを守らなければならない。
13 しかし、清く、旅に出ていない者が、過越の祭りを守ることを拒んだならば、その魂はその民から断たれる。主の供え物をその定められた時期に持ってこなかったために、その人は自分の罪を負う。
13 身がきよく、また旅にも出ていない者が、過越のいけにえを捧げることをやめたなら、その者はその民から断ち切られなければならない。その者は定められた時に、主への捧げ物を捧げなかったのであるから、自分の罪を負わなければならない。
14 もし、異国人があなたがたのうちに寄留して、過越の祭りを主のために守ろうとするならば、過越の祭りの定めと、その儀式に従って、そのようにしなければならない。あなたがたは、よそ者にも、その土地で生まれた者にも、一つの掟を持つべきである。」
14 もし、あなたがたのところに異国人が在留していて、主に過越のいけにえの掟と、その定めに従って捧げなければならない。在留異国人にも、この国に生まれた者にも、あなたがたには、掟は一つである。」
15 幕屋が立てられた日、雲は幕屋を、それも証の天幕を覆い、夕方には、幕屋の上に、あたかも火のようなものが朝まで見えました。
16 このように、常に雲はこれを覆い、夜は火のようなものが見えました。
17 雲が天幕の上から取り去られるたびに、イスラエルの子孫は旅に出て、雲のある所に、イスラエルの子孫は宿営しました。
18 主の命令により、イスラエルの子孫は旅に出て、主の命令により宿営し、雲が幕屋の上にある限り、彼らは宿営したままでした。
19 雲が幕屋の上に幾日も留まる時、イスラエルの子孫は主の命令を守り、旅をしてはなりませんでした。
20 また、雲が幕屋の上に数日、留まることがありましたが、主の戒めによって、彼らは野宿をし、主の戒めによって旅をしました。
21 また、ある時は夕べから朝まで雲があり、朝になって雲が取りあげられると、彼らは旅をし、また昼と夜が続いていても、雲が取りあげられると、彼らは旅をしました。
22 雲が幕屋の上に留まり、その上に留まることが、二日であろうと、ひと月であろうと、一年であろうと、イスラエルの子孫は宿営したままで、旅はしませんでしたが、それが取りあげられると、彼らは旅に出ました。

1 エジプトの国を出て第二年目の第一月に、主はシナイの荒野でモーセに告げて仰せられた。

4 そこでモーセはイスラエル人に、過越のいけにえを捧げるように命じたので、
5 彼らはシナイの荒野で第一月の十四日の夕暮れに過越のいけにえを捧げた。イスラエル人はすべて主がモーセに命じられらとおりに行った。
6 しかし、人の死体によって身を汚し、その日に過越のいけにえを捧げることができなかった人々がいた。彼らはその日、モーセとアロンの前に近づいた。
7 その人々は彼に言いました。「私達は、人の死体によって身を汚しておりますが、なぜ定められた時にイスラエル人の中で、主への捧げ物を捧げることを禁じられているのでしょうか。」
8 するとモーセは彼らに言いました。「待っていなさい。私は主があなたがたについてどのように命じられるかを聞こう。」
9 主はモーセに告げて仰せられた。
10 「イスラエル人に告げて言え。あなたがたの、またはあなたがたの子孫のうちでだれかが、もし死体によって身を汚しているか、遠い旅路にあるなら、その人は主に過越のいけにえを捧げなければならない。
11 第二月の十四日の夕暮れに、それを捧げなければならない。種を入れないパンと苦菜をいっしょにそれを食べなければならない。
12 そのうちの少しでも朝まで残してはならない。またその骨を一本でも折ってはならない。すべて過越のいけにえの掟に従ってそれを捧げなければならない。
13 身がきよく、また旅にも出ていない者が、過越のいけにえを捧げることをやめたなら、その者はその民から断ち切られなければならない。その者は定められた時に、主への捧げ物を捧げなかったのであるから、自分の罪を負わなければならない。
14 もし、あなたがたのところに異国人が在留していて、主に過越のいけにえの掟と、その定めに従って捧げなければならない。在留異国人にも、この国に生まれた者にも、あなたがたには、掟は一つである。」
15 幕屋を建てた日、雲があかしの天幕である幕屋をおおった。それは夕方には幕屋の上にあって火のようなものになり、朝まであった。
16 いつもこのようであって、昼は雲がそれをおおい、夜は火のように見えた。
17 雲が天幕を離れて上ると、すぐそのあとで、イスラエル人はいつも旅立った。そして、雲がとどまるその場所で、イスラエル人は宿営していた。
18 主の命令によって、イスラエル人は旅立ち、主の命令によって宿営した。雲が幕屋の上にとどまっている間、彼らは宿営していた。
19 長い間、雲が幕屋の上にとどまるときには、イスラエル人は主の戒めを守って、旅立たなかった。
20 また雲がわずかの間しか幕屋の上にとどまらないことがあっても、彼らは主の命令によって宿営し、主の命令によって旅立った。
21 雲が夕方から朝までとどまるようなときがあっても、朝になって雲が上れば、彼らはただちに旅立った。昼でも、夜でも、雲が上れば、彼らはいつも旅立った。
22 二日でも、一月でも、あるいは一年でも、雲が幕屋の上にとどまって去らなければ、イスラエル人は宿営して旅立たなかった。ただ雲が上ったときだけ旅立った。
23 彼らは主の命令によって宿営し、主の命令によって旅立った。彼らはモーセを通して示された主の命令によって、主の戒めを守った。

And the LORD spoke unto Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the first month of the second year after they were come out of the land of Egypt, saying:
2 'Let the children of Israel keep the passover in its appointed season.
3 In the fourteenth day of this month, at dusk, ye shall keep it in its appointed season; according to all the statutes of it, and according to all the ordinances thereof, shall ye keep it.'
4 And Moses spoke unto the children of Israel, that they should keep the passover.
5 And they kept the passover in the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, at dusk, in the wilderness of Sinai; according to all that the LORD commanded Moses, so did the children of Israel.
6 But there were certain men, who were unclean by the dead body of a man, so that they could not keep the passover on that day; and they came before Moses and before Aaron on that day.
7 And those men said unto him: 'We are unclean by the dead body of a man; wherefore are we to be kept back, so as not to bring the offering of the LORD in its appointed season among the children of Israel?'
8 And Moses said unto them: 'Stay ye, that I may hear what the LORD will command concerning you.' 
9 And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying:
10 'Speak unto the children of Israel, saying: If any man of you or of your generations shall be unclean by reason of a dead body, or be in a journey afar off, yet he shall keep the passover unto the LORD;
11 in the second month on the fourteenth day at dusk they shall keep it; they shall eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs;
12 they shall leave none of it unto the morning, nor break a bone thereof; according to all the statute of the passover they shall keep it.
13 But the man that is clean, and is not on a journey, and forbeareth to keep the passover, that soul shall be cut off from his people; because he brought not the offering of the LORD in its appointed season, that man shall bear his sin.
14 And if a stranger shall sojourn among you, and will keep the passover unto the LORD: according to the statute of the passover, and according to the ordinance thereof, so shall he do; ye shall have one statute, both for the stranger, and for him that is born in the land.' 
15 And on the day that the tabernacle was reared up the cloud covered the tabernacle, even the tent of the testimony; and at even there was upon the tabernacle as it were the appearance of fire, until morning.
16 So it was alway: the cloud covered it, and the appearance of fire by night.
17 And whenever the cloud was taken up from over the Tent, then after that the children of Israel journeyed; and in the place where the cloud abode, there the children of Israel encamped.
18 At the commandment of the LORD the children of Israel journeyed, and at the commandment of the LORD they encamped: as long as the cloud abode upon the tabernacle they remained encamped.
19 And when the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle many days, then the children of Israel kept the charge of the LORD, and journeyed not.
20 And sometimes the cloud was a few days upon the tabernacle; according to the commandment of the LORD they remained encamped, and according to the commandment of the LORD they journeyed.
21 And sometimes the cloud was from evening until morning; and when the cloud was taken up in the morning, they journeyed; or if it continued by day and by night, when the cloud was taken up, they journeyed.
22 Whether it were two days, or a month, or a year, that the cloud tarried upon the tabernacle, abiding thereon, the children of Israel remained encamped, and journeyed not; but when it was taken up, they journeyed.
23 At the commandment of the LORD they encamped, and at the commandment of the LORD they journeyed; they kept the charge of the LORD, at the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses.
