箴言１５章

柔らかい答えは怒りを遠ざけるが、悲痛な言葉は怒りをかき立てる。
2 知恵ある者の舌は知識を正しく用いるが、愚かな者の口は愚かなことを口にする。
3 主の目はすべての所にあり、悪と善を見張っている。
4 なだめる舌は命の木であるが、その陋劣さは霊に傷を与える。
5 愚か者はその父の矯正を軽んじるが、戒めを重んずる者には思慮分別がある。
6 正しい者の家には多くの宝があり、悪しき者の家には苦悩がある。
7 知恵ある者の口は知識を広めるが、愚かな者の心は堅実にならない。
8 悪者のいけにえは主にとって憎むべきものであるが、正しい者の祈りは主の喜びである。

12 嘲る者は叱られることを好まず、賢い者のところへは行かない。
13 陽気な心は明るい表情をつくり、心の悲しみによってその霊は砕かれる。
14 見識のある者の心は知識を求め、愚かな者の口は愚かさを糧にする。
15 貧しい者の日々はみな悪い。しかし、陽気な心を持つ者は絶えず宴会を持つ。
16 主を畏敬する者は少ないにこしたことはない。
大きな財宝のせいで起こる騒動にまさる。
16 わずかな物を持っていて主を恐れるのは、多くの財宝を持っていて恐慌があるのにまさる。
17 愛のある所での薬草の食事は、牛の厩舎と、それによる憎しみにまさる。

18 怒る者は不和を起こし、怒りをおさえる者は争いをおさえる。
19 のろまな者の道はいばらに囲まれているようであるが、正しい者の道は平坦である。
20 賢い子は父を喜ばせるが、愚かな者は母を軽んじる。
21 愚かさは悟りのない者の喜びとなり、見識のある者はまっすぐに歩む。
22 相談しない者は挫折するが、相談者を多く持つ者は堅く立つ。
23 人はその口の答えに喜びを感じ、適切な時期の言葉は、何と良いことだろう。
24 命の道は賢い者のために上方に向かっている。そのため、下の陰府から離れることができる。
25 主は高ぶる者の家を打ちこわし、やもめの境を確立する。
26 悪い思いは主にとって憎むべきものであるが、快い言葉は清い。
27 利をむさぼる者は自分の家を悩ますが、賄賂を憎む者は生きる。
28 正しい者の心は答えようと努め、悪者の口は悪事を吐き出す。
29 主は悪者から遠ざかり、正しい者の祈りを聞いてくださる。
30 目の光は心を喜ばせ、良い報告は骨を太らせる。
31 いのちの戒めに耳を傾ける耳は賢い者の中にとどまる。
32 矯正を拒む者は自分の魂を軽んじるが、戒めに耳を傾ける者は悟りを得る。
33 主を畏敬することは知恵の教えであり、栄誉に先立つものは謙遜である。

箴言１５章２２節

いくつもの計画は助言がないと失敗する。

3 主の御目はどこにでもあり、悪者と善人とを見張っている。
4 穏やかな舌はいのちの木。偽りの舌はたましいの破滅。
5 愚か者は自分の父の訓戒を侮る。叱責を大事にする者は利口になる。
6 正しい者の家には多くの富がある。悪者の収穫は煩いをもたらす。
7 知恵のある者のくちびるは知識を広める。愚かな者の心はそうではない。
8 悪者のいけにえは主に忌みきらわれる。正しい者の祈りは主に喜ばれる。
9 主は悪者の行いを忌みきらい、義を追い求める者を愛する。
10 正しい道を捨てる者にはきびしい懲らしめがあり、叱責を憎む者は死に至る。
11 よみと滅びの淵とは主の前にある。人の子らの心はなおさらのこと。
12 あざける者はしかってくれる者を愛さない。知恵のある者にも近づかない。
13 心に喜びがあれば顔色を良くする。心に憂いがあれば気はふさぐ。
14 悟りのある者の心は知識を求めるが、愚かな者の口は愚かさを食いあさる。
15 悩む者には毎日が不吉の日であるが、心に楽しみのある人には毎日が宴会である。
16 わずかな物を持っていて主を恐れるのは、多くの財宝を持っていて恐慌があるのにまさる。
17 野菜を食べて愛し合うのは、肥えた牛を食べて憎み合うのにまさる。
18 激しやすい者は争いを引き起こし、怒りをおそくする者はいさかいを静める。
19 なまけ者の道はいばらの生け垣のよう。実直な者の小道は平らな大路。
20 知恵のある子は父を喜ばせ、愚かな者はその母をさげすむ。
21 思慮に欠けている者は愚かさを喜び、英知のある者はまっすぐに歩む。
22 密議をこらさなければ、計画は破れ、多くの助言者によって、成功する。
23 良い返事をする人には喜びがあり、時宜にかなったことばは、いかにも麗しい。
24 悟りのある者はいのちの道を上って行く。これは下にあるよみを離れるためだ。
25 主は高ぶる者の家を打ちこわし、やもめの地境を決められる。
26 悪者の計画は主に忌みきらわれる。親切なことばは、きよい。
27 利得をむさぼる者は自分の家族を煩わし、まいないを憎むもの者は生きながらえる。
28 正しい者の心は、どう答えるかを思い巡らす。悪者の口は悪を吐き出す。
29 主は悪者から遠ざかり、正しい者の祈りを聞かれる。
30 目の光は心を喜ばせ、良い知らせは人を健やかにする。
31 いのちに至る叱責を聞く耳のある者は、知恵のある者の間に宿る。
32 訓戒を無視する者は自分のいのちをないがしろにする。叱責を聞き入れる者は思慮を得る。
33 主を恐れることは知恵の訓戒である。謙遜は栄誉に先立つ。

A soft answer turneth away wrath; but a grievous word stirreth up anger.
2 The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright; but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness.
3 The eyes of the LORD are in every place, keeping watch upon the evil and the good.
4 A soothing tongue is a tree of life; but perverseness therein is a wound to the spirit.
5 A fool despiseth his father's correction; but he that regardeth reproof is prudent.
6 In the house of the righteous is much treasure; but in the revenues of the wicked is trouble.
7 The lips of the wise disperse knowledge; but the heart of the foolish is not stedfast.
8 The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD; but the prayer of the upright is His delight.
9 The way of the wicked is an abomination to the LORD; but He loveth him that followeth after righteousness.
10 There is grievous correction for him that forsaketh the way; and he that hateth reproof shall die.
11 The nether-world and Destruction are before the LORD; how much more then the hearts of the children of men!
12 A scorner loveth not to be reproved; he will not go unto the wise.
13 A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance; but by sorrow of heart the spirit is broken.
14 The heart of him that hath discernment seeketh knowledge; but the mouth of fools feedeth on folly.
15 All the days of the poor are evil; but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast.
16 Better is little with the fear of the LORD, than great treasure and turmoil therewith.
17 Better is a dinner of herbs where love is, than a stalled ox and hatred therewith.
18 A wrathful man stirreth up discord; but he that is slow to anger appeaseth strife.
19 The way of the sluggard is as though hedged by thorns; but the path of the upright is even.
20 A wise son maketh a glad father; but a foolish man despiseth his mother.
21 Folly is joy to him that lacketh understanding; but a man of discernment walketh straightforwards.
22 For want of counsel purposes are frustrated; but in the multitude of counsellors they are established.
23 A man hath joy in the answer of his mouth; and a word in due season, how good is it!
24 The path of life goeth upward for the wise, that he may depart from the nether-world beneath.
25 The LORD will pluck up the house of the proud; but He will establish the border of the widow.
26 The thoughts of wickedness are an abomination to the LORD; but words of pleasantness are pure.
27 He that is greedy of gain troubleth his own house; but he that hateth gifts shall live.
28 The heart of the righteous studieth to answer; but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things.
29 The LORD is far from the wicked; but He heareth the prayer of the righteous.
30 The light of the eyes rejoiceth the heart; and a good report maketh the bones fat.
31 The ear that hearkeneth to the reproof of life abideth among the wise.
32 He that refuseth correction despiseth his own soul; but he that hearkeneth to reproof getteth understanding.
33 The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour goeth humility.
