3/14のママさん英会話展レッスンレポートです。
We read a newspaper article together.
Each students chose and researched one word in the article.
The chosen words were as follows:
aware
afford
go up
build / construct / erect
Some of the students used an English‐English dictionary so that the meaning of those words were broaden.
We learned a lot and we understood the words deeply.
I also choose the word "rather" because I was not sure how to use it.
After we learned how to use the word, we practiced making some sentences using it.
It seemed difficult to make the sentences at the beginning, but when we tried it more than three times, they understood how to use the word.
Here are some examples,
I would rather walk than sleep.
I would rather sleep than go out tonight.
I would rather not eat an insect.
We also practiced how to make sentences with "prefer".
For example,
I prefer coffee.
I prefer oranges to strawberries.
I prefer to stay at home than to go out.
I prefer walking to running.
Thank you for researching a lot!
