I went to Pocahontas State Park with my friend yesterday. It is one of Virginia Satate Parks. It should take around 2 hours to get there one way, but actually it took 3 hours because I was not a very good navigator and had to U-turn a few times.
The park was wonderful! Beautiful scenary, moderate ups and downs, not many people! The only bad (or it can be good) point was that there were not many signs for trails and we got lost! It seems that getting lost is not unusual thing in the park because I heard that a lady in a office rescued someone who was hiking yesterday. We were asking a way out whenever we met someone on a trail and finally we followed them. They were not sure about roads either because there was no paved roads, sings, or good maps. We were happy to go back to the parking lot.
The weather was nice! It went up to 80F, and I was sweating in a long sleeve-shirt. Today, on the other hand, it is raining. I was so glad that I could go there yesterday!
