Seminar - Life in ISLAM

The Seminar - Life i n ISLAM will be held ;
In afternoon on Sunday 12th February, 2012
at the Kumamoto City International Center

(A specific time to start will be advised soon. Maybe from 1pm)

Several speakers make the presentation about ISLAM world, such as Qur’ān's miracle, Life after the death in Islamic world, and Women's life in ISLAM, and then free discussion will takes place.

For the topics of Women's life in ISLAM will be addressed by Ms. Ream Afmad who is the native guest of Arabic conversation lesson in NHK TV program.

Photo panel exhibition of the Kumamoto school for the deaf

Kumamoto City International Center holds the photo panel exhibition of the Kumamoto school for the deaf on the entrance lobby until Dec. 28.

Photo panels showing the school activities, the students messages are so wonderful and impressive. The students have the handicap of deaf, but it has been already just in a part of their usual life. So they spend wonderful time in their own, and in this exhibition, they tried to express themselves in English!

Please come and look at the exhibition. You may have something warm in your mind!!

Earth Music Festival in Kumamoto (Dec. 18)

Hello, all of our friends,

This is the final announcement of the Earth Music Festival in Kumamoto to be held at the the Kumamoto City International Center on Sunday 18 December (The next week end).

The festival this year has following programs:

13:00 - 14:00 Asian Food court

Chinese Manjyu, Filipina Banana Fry, and Indonesia Klepon will be served in cooperation of each the country group. So let's try them and talk together for expanding friendship exchanges.

14:00 - 16:00 Curtain time

First part - The Chinese group, the Filipina group and Indonesian group will be in the center space to perform their own local dances.

Then, the dance time to let all the audience try the dance together!

Japanese music group perform to play the seasons music!

Second part - Japanese songs to be learned at the Japanese elementary schools will be sung all together! The word paper in Rome characters are distributed to all.

It will be very fun event!

Free admission, but need to make reservation in advance.
