竹取物語？v The Tales of Bamboo the Cutter

昔は、お爺さんが竹を取りに行きましたが
Long ago, old men went to take a bamboo,


今日は、若いお兄さんたちが竹を取りに行きました。
today, young men went to take a bamboo.


何本も切っています。

Cut a couple of them.



ギコギコ、大変ですが若いのでへっちゃらです。

竹を切ったら中から‥‥‥‥

It's hard wrok but they are all young, it's okay.
Inside of the bamboo that has been cut...


何も出てきません。赤ちゃんはいないのです。

ましてや、財宝なんてありえません。

しかし目には見えないけれど、夢はありそうです。

竹が何かに生まれ変われそうです。

さてさて、お兄さんたちは何を作るのでしょうか

楽しみです。

nothing came out. No babies.
No treasure of course.
It's unseen but there may be a dream.
The bamboo will turn into something.
What will the young men make.
