Info of Money exchange: moving CANADA to NY

I exchanged CANADA$=Narita Airport in Japan. USA$=Airport at Chicago.

I think you don't change money in Chicago Airport. Their rate was terrible.
They had 1exchanged place, it looks like wagon.
Maybe if I change money in Japan $1=around 110yen (I think. May.2005), but in Chicago, it was $1=118. The lady in the wagon said `Are you serious you change here?` ,so...I think I should go to bank or somewhere. But I need US$ badly.

Because...I didn't have time.
I left Vancouver around 7:00(I woke up 5:00AM) and I don't know why, only my fright became later about 1 and half hours. I'll arrive NY 20:30. It was Saturday.

I needed money, because the day, my exhost family will pick up me and stay together 1 night.(Because I had to go to school in NY city fron Mon. After that I back in Japan.)

And...when I came their house before, I was late let them know when I reach the house.
So when I got there, they wasn't home. It was around 21:00. I was alone in the dark, so I stay a hotel 1 night. But because of HamptonBays is resort, I lost $120 for the hotel, and I don't have much money, then they gave me $100 for my trip. So I thank you for it very much and I decided back money to them someday...(They said we don't need, but I left it for them.)

And...I had to pay new host family $300 next day. It was still Sunday.
So I afraid there is no bank were opened.
