I would like to thank to all poeple who keep supporting me, coaching me, training with me and cheering for me since I started triathlon 4years ago.Triathlon is changing my life for good like keeping me healthy and making me realize how the people around me are important to having success at a race.

I keep remembering when I started triathlon, I didn't know how to ride a bike or how to change a flat tire. I couldn't ride my bike to the top of Tapocho. All my friends taught me and pushed me to be good. Specially thank to my hasband Kevin, My parents, UMDA, Joshua Burger, Fred camacho, Island Apparel, Hornet Sports in Guam, PIC, my new sponsor Salomon and my coach Andrew Noble.
I would never have been able to join the race as a pro without these people.

Andrew has been coaching me for over one year. I learned many things from him to be a strong athlete mentally and physically and I will keep learning to be a stronger and faster.
I train almost everyday. The weekend are my big training days and my favorite days. I am excited to train 3-4 hours. I know it sounds crazy but I am having fun training and challenging myself to be faster.

It will be my fourth to go Xterra World this year but it is the first time to compete as a pro. I am nervous but also excited that I am able to get oppotunity to race with other top athletes.

Of course, every race I think" I want to win" that's why I can train 3-4 hours a day and that's why I can wake up at 5 in the morning. Nobody knows what will happen to you during a race.
I might have a bike crash but also I might win and be the top of the world!!! who knows.
However, I always think" I want to finish race without regret and with BIG smile"
I do my best of the best. I will use 120% of my power and I want to say " good job Mieko" at the finish line. That is my big goal for Maui.

I have a few more weeks to train, I will focus on my training to make myself faster even by 1sec.

Thank-you for helping. I am lucky and happy to be here in Saipan.
